Start NowAdolescent medicine, also known as adolescent and young adult medicine, is a medical subspecialty that focuses on the care of patients who are in the adolescent period of development. This period is defined as beginning at puberty and ending around the time growth is interrupted, when adulthood begins. Patients in the adolescent age group are considered to fall within the last years of middle school up until around the time of college graduation.
Adolescent medicine focuses on issues that are of the utmost importance concerning adolescent patients, such as sexual health, menstruation, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, substance abuse, acne, and mental health or eating disorders. Conversations about these issues are often difficult for adolescents to have, so having a trusted adviser with expertise on such matters (e.g., a physician) can be truly life-changing for these young individuals.

Not enough topics for Adolescent Medicine Exam. Needs more videos. Needs typical Board questions to review. There should be easier ways to find other topics and quick linking to appropriate videos.
Great review of some of the most salient adolescent specific health concerns!
I think it's a good overview of eating disorders and is good enough for screening. However, for this topic I would have liked it to be deeper because it's a psychiatric problem.
Very important topic. I particularly liked to hear your opinion about Flumazenil. Thank you!
