AMC CAT preparation
Study for the AMC CAT with Lecturio
The Australian Medical Council CAT examination is a computer-administered, multiple choice exam delivered in one 3.5-hour session. International medical graduates (IMGs) who wish to practice medicine in Australia must pass both the multiple choice and AMC Clinical Exams.
The AMC CAT is a one-day, computer-based test.
- 150 A-type multiple choice questions (120 scored, 30 non-scored/pilot items) have one correct answer from five options. After passing the AMC CAT, IMGs must also take a clinical exam prior to practicing medicine in Australia.
- The AMC CAT focuses on essential medical knowledge, understanding of the disease process, clinical examination and diagnosis, and investigation, therapy and management.
- Topics include Adult Health (Medicine), Adult Health (Surgery), Women’s Health (OB-GYN), Children’s Health (Pediatrics), Mental Health, and Population Health.
