Breast Disease

by Carlo Raj, MD

Breast disease encompasses many conditions, including infectious agents and benign or malignant neoplastic processes. Of the benign conditions, some have very little risk of progression to malignancy, whereas others carry very high risk. Understanding the characteristic clinical presentation of breast pathology—including physical examination, ultrasound, and pathologic findings—is vital for diagnosis and treatment.
