Atherosclerosis, the inflammatory accumulation of intraluminal, lipid-filled plaque within arteries, is thought to be at least partially responsible for nearly half of the mortality in Western societies. It particularly affects regions of disturbed non-laminar flow at branch points in the arteries and is considered a primary cause of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, resulting in heart attacks, stroke, and peripheral arterial disease. Prompt diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of ischemic complications is the gold standard in preventing mortality.
Clear and straight to the point! Potentially difficult stuff becomes super easy with him!
