Start NowVascular medicine is the branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the blood vessels. Common conditions include atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial disease; venous diseases including deep vein thrombosis, vasculitides, and vascular malformations; and diseases of the lymph vessels.
For optimal comprehension, the student should have prior knowledge of the histological characteristics of arteries, veins, and lymph vessels, and the mechanisms of humoral and cell-mediated immunity. A thorough understanding of coagulation factors and the physiology of coagulation is encouraged.
Vascular diseases, most notably hypertension, are one of the most important public health concerns in the western world. The morbidity and complications associated with these vascular diseases can impair the function and quality of life of the affected individual.
Clinicians should be able to identify the most common signs and symptoms associated with vascular anomalies. Moreover, they should know the differences between pathologies that can be controlled at an outpatient level (e.g., mild hypertension) and those that require specialized or urgent care (e.g., deep vein thrombosis and subsequent pulmonary embolism).

It was better if he used some USMLE type examples, in his lectures,
With all respect, this lecture is suitable for non physician audiences.
Very primitive, nothing said about the diagnosis/treatment of DVT-PE etc.

I wish you were my professor in university, i would adore to come to your lectures even if they started at 5 am. You are the most charming and charismatic, adorable professor in the world. I am admiring how enthusiastic you are about everything you say, and I can feel from thousand miles away the passion you have for what you are doing! I really like the vascular portion of this system. I find it helpful. I am studying for my RVT for ultrasound and this helps a lot. I hope there will be more information as far as physics and data interpretation for ultrasound. I think radiology field has a lot to know and not just pertaining to doctors or nurses.
