Personality disorders are pervasive, maladaptive, and chronic patterns of behavior, cognition, and mood. Patients suffering from personality disorders often describe normal affective responses but distorted perceptions of reality, ultimately manifesting in distress across all aspects of the individual's life. The impact on the individual’s life can be significant, as patients may suffer poor health and even premature mortality.
Personality disorders are common, frequently encountered in virtually all forms of healthcare. Their etiology, however, is complex. As they are influenced by genetic and environmental factors, treatment is extremely difficult for these patients.

I love Lecturio and already recommended to my colleagues. Thank you so much!
i chose this rating because , lecturio gave me broader understanding of this topic Helen did a great job with explaining the concept, and i love it. i will always recommend lecturio to my friends in medical school, until everyone gets to know about this great opportunity to learn smartly.
The lectures are very well structured. They give ample examples of what potential cases may look like. We are encouraged to think about how to apply this knowledge in practice. Throughout this course, the subsequent lectures reference previously learned concepts, so that we have a clearer understanding of the differences and similarities between the topics.
Dr Farel is great. She presents things very well. Everything is clear. Important things are pinpointed. The chronology (diagnostic, etiology, Clinics, treatment...) is well put. It’s a pleasure to listen.
