Procedures and Skills (APRN)

Procedures and Skills (APRN)

by John Russell, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, CCRN, CRNFA

Advanced practice registered nurses, including nurse practitioners (NPs) in a variety of healthcare contexts, require knowledge about procedures and skills to provide comprehensive and high-quality care to their patients.

Procedures such as suturing and splinting are essential skills for the management of minor injuries and wounds in their patients. Immediate and effective treatment reduces pain, prevents infections, and promotes healing. Knowledge of procedures enables collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers.

We need more like it.
By Muhammad A. on 12. June 2023 for Suturing

Clearly presented, a simple course. We need more like it for emergency medicine. In addition to wound management.
