Cardiovascular Disorders – Med-Surg Nursing

by Rhonda Lawes, PhD, RN

Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of chronic disease and death worldwide. Though patients of all age groups can be affected by different cardiovascular pathologies, here we’ll focus on adults.

In this class, we’ll review the foundational anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, including how the heart’s electrical and conduction systems function.

You’ll also learn about cardiac monitoring, electrocardiography, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and acute coronary syndrome.

Knowledge of the cardiovascular system touches nearly all specialties, so it’s essential to have working knowledge of this very important bodily system.

This Cardiac video series is perfect for anyone who wants to learn or review nursing knowledge
By Julie N. on 25. October 2023 for Post-myocardial Infarction: In a Nutshell (Nursing)

I gave this video series on Cardiac nursing a full 5 stars because it was clear and straight to the point. There wasn’t any extra stuff that made it confusing, just what we need to know. This made it easier to learn and understand. Also to add is the quiz questions that pop up right after the video to recap what was learned is a huge plus for me. I liked that this video series could help many people. It's not just for nursing students; it’s also good for high schoolers thinking about becoming nurses, and for nurses who need a refresher on their skills. So, I’d say this video series is perfect for anyone who wants to learn or review nursing knowledge.
