Cancer is one of the most common health conditions seen globally. It’s a common cause of death among children, women, and men, although each of these groups is affected differently. As a nurse, you are bound to care for patients with cancer, even if you don’t work in an oncology unit.
In this course, you’ll learn about the genetic basis for cancer, discuss metastasis, and review the common ailments that patients suffer, either directly related to cancer or due to the treatment modalities.
You’ll also learn about some of the most common forms of cancer, how cancer is categorized based on the type of tissue affected, and cancers of certain organ systems.
