Brain and Cranial Nerves – Physiology (Nursing)

Brain and Cranial Nerves – Physiology (Nursing)

by Jasmine Clark

The brain and the nerves are sophisticated and complex, and nurses need to know how they normally function. This knowledge is important to have so that you can detect when a patient is experiencing neurological problems.

In this course, you will learn about the basic anatomy and physiology of the brain as a whole, as well as important subdivisions of the brain. You’ll learn about the cranial nerves, their normal function, and how to assess them.

We’ll also discuss select disorders that affect the nervous system, such as strokes.
