Anatomy of the Musculoskeletal System (Nursing)

by Darren Salmi, MD, MS
The musculoskeletal system consists of all of the muscles, bones, cartilage, and connective tissues in the body. This course is an in-depth look at the structure of this system, therefore a basic anatomical understanding of this system would be beneficial. As the musculoskeletal system has the potential to be impacted by every nursing intervention, a comprehensive understanding of this system is essential for every nurse, regardless of where they work.

Challenging but excellent lecture
By Michael B. on 12. February 2024 for Anatomy of the Tongue and Pharynx (Nursing)

I have completed the previous two lectures on the cranial muscles and facial muscles, surprised myself on learning most of the content. This is another challenge that will take a while to remember and understand but if you stick with it, it really does learn anatomy. For me, it's all about repeating and repeating and then repeating again, till you can visualise the content and become comfortable with the content. Thanks again for this Darren.

Detailed, excellent lecture on sensory nerves, muscles and the muscles of chewing and expression
By Michael B. on 06. February 2024 for Dermatomes, and Muscles of the Head and Neck and the Mandible (Nursing)

Very detailed, well thought out for people like myself to learn from (novices) haha. I usually go through the video a handful of times, make notes, get familar with the visual concepts and become more comfortable with the material over time. Again, i am very grateful for these lectures that learn me better than just textbooks.
