Terms and Conditions: Lecturio Referral Program

Welcome to the Lecturio Referral Program! We’re excited to offer you the chance to share the benefits of Lecturio with your friends and earn rewards for it. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the program. By participating, you agree to these Terms, so please read them carefully.

1. Program Overview

The Lecturio Referral Program allows eligible Lecturio users (“Referrers”) to earn promotional credits by inviting users (“Referred Friends”) to purchase a subscription on the lecturio.com website. Please note that this is a web-only program and does not apply to purchases made within any Lecturio mobile application.

Referrer’s Reward: You, the Referrer, will receive promotional credits for each successful referral. The amount and currency of the credit are determined by the currency of your active subscription at the time the referral is qualified. The reward values are as follows:

  • $10 USD
  • A$15 AUD
  • C$15 CAD
  • €10 EUR
  • £10 GBP
  • ₹500 INR
  • $150 MXN

2. Eligibility

  • Referrer: Your unique referral code and personal invitation link will be generated after your first successful subscription payment on the lecturio.com website (not via a mobile app), or if you are an existing subscriber when the referral program starts. To receive promotional credits, you must have an active, paid subscription purchased through the website at the time your referred friend’s purchase qualifies.
  • Referred friend: To use a referral code or link, the referred friend must be a new subscriber to Lecturio’s paid services. This program does not apply to purchases made through any Lecturio mobile app.

3. How It Works

For the Referrer:

  • Get your code & link: As a paying subscriber, find your unique, permanent referral code and personal invitation link on the “Plans & Billings” page in your Lecturio account.
  • Share your code or link: Share this code or your invitation link with friends, colleagues, or family.
  • Earn rewards: You earn a reward for each succesful Referred Friend that uses your code or link to make their first subscription purchase on the website and completes the cooling-off period (see Section 4.3), provided you meet the eligibility criteria in Section 2.
 

For the Referred Friend:

  • Receive a code or link: Get a referral code or invitation link from a friend who is an active, paying Lecturio subscriber.
  • Use the discount code or link: Visit lecturio.com and enter the referral code at checkout or use the invitation link, which applies the referral code automatically, if no other coupon is already applied.
  • Pay less: A 20% discount applies at checkout to your subscription purchase on the website, including the first payment and renewals.
 
Please note: You cannot combine coupon codes.

4. Qualified Referrals & Earning Rewards​

A referral is considered a “Qualified Referral” and eligible for a reward only when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. The Referred Friend uses the Referrer’s valid referral code or personal invitation link to first-time purchase a subscription on lecturio.com.
  2. The Referred Friend makes their successful subscription payment.
  3. The Referred Friend does not cancel their subscription and request a refund within the 14-day cooling-off period after subscription start. The start of this period is defined as follows
    • For subscriptions with a free trial: The 14-day cooling-off period begins on the first day the trial starts.
    • For subscriptions without a free trial: The 14-day cooling-off period begins on the date of the first successful payment.
 

Promotional credits will be automatically applied to the Referrer’s Lecturio account after the 14-day cooling-off period for the Referred Friend has successfully passed. You can view your total earned credits on your “Plans & Billings” page. If a Referred Friend issues a chargeback or receives a refund after the cooling-off period, Lecturio reserves the right to invalidate the corresponding promotional credits from the Referrer’s account.Plans & Billings

5. Using Your Promotional Credits

The promotional credits you earn are stored in your Lecturio account. You can see the the amount of available credits on the “Plans & Billings” page. These credits will be automatically applied to your next subscription renewal payment for subscriptions managed via the lecturio.com website, reducing the amount you have to pay.

  • Credits accumulate: You earn credits for each successful Referred Friend.
  • Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
  • Credits cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded.

6. Referral Code & Link Validity

Your referral code and personal invitation link are permanent and unique to you as long as you maintain an active Lecturio subscription purchased via the website.

However, your referral code and personal invitation link will be automatically deactivated and can no longer be used by new users if your own Lecturio subscription is canceled or expired.

7. General Conditions

  • Program Scope: This is a web-only program. It applies only to subscriptions purchased directly through the lecturio.com website. It expressly excludes subscriptions purchased within any Lecturio mobile application (e.g., via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), through lecturio.de , B2U (Business-to-University) whitelabel platforms, or any other third-party vendors.
  • Program Modifications: Lecturio reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted here and will take effect immediately upon posting.
  • Fraudulent Activity: Lecturio may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any participant found to be engaging in fraudulent activity, such as creating multiple accounts, spamming, or violating the spirit of the program. Such actions will result in the forfeiture of any earned rewards.
  • Do not spam: When sharing a discount code you must comply with all current SPAM laws. Any distribution of a discount code that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or spam under any applicable law or regulation is prohibited.
  • Communication: By participating in the program, you agree to receive automated emails and in-app notifications related to the program, including notifications about earned rewards and program updates.
  • Limitation of Liability: Lecturio will not be liable for any lost or stolen referral codes or invitation links, or for any technical issues that may prevent the proper application of codes, links, or credits.
  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Germany.
