NGN DEIB Case Studies (release in progress)
by Jacquelyn McMillian-BohlerIn 2023, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) introduced a new testing format, the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN), which incorporates case studies in addition to existing question formats. In this course, prospective NCLEX-RN test takers will be walked through three different case studies in preparation for the exam, all with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB).
An understanding of DEIB principles would be beneficial in order to fully appreciate and understand the included case studies.
Knowing how to navigate the new NCLEX question formats is essential to passing the exam. Additionally, a firm knowledge of DEIB principles is necessary to provide comprehensive, culturally safe care to diverse client populations.
