Episodic Care (APRN)

Episodic Care (APRN)

by Charles Vega, MD
Primary care providers are in a position to recognize when assessment findings deviate from expectations and referral for additional care is necessary. Guidance on how providers can triage and manage commonly seen acute conditions involving respiratory distress, changes in vision and hearing, sleep disturbances, pain syndromes, urologic dysfunctions, dermatologic presentations, and injuries are reviewed. Pathophysiologic knowledge is correlated with evidence based treatment interventions.
