I wish there were more foundational details included. I think Dr. Cornwall presented the material with the expectation that the listener already has a solid foundation in genetics.

I understand that medical genetics is a difficult course to review but improvements are definitely needed in the following areas: 1. State and simplify definitions. Too often i need to refer to Google for a more basic explanation. 2. Please stop assuming basic knowledge is still fresh. I haven't study genetics in 7 years and i have forgotten EVERYTHING! So, along the way and with each new concept please give some foundational information.

Literally worst professor ever, she seems so desoriented and feels like she haven't even prepared the class

i like but the fomr like the professor express can distract a little

I use Emery’s Elements of Medical Genetics 15th edition as primary study material, which i recommend for anyone to use. I decided to take this course as a supplement and ended up confused and annoyed. Simple learning objectives of this course lectures are harder to understand due to poor explanation and as far as i can tell the professor seems stressed, disoriented and confused herself. Lectures need a rework. Despite that, the articles are pretty good and helpful, PowerPoint slides are useful to an extend.

The introduction provided me with the basic concepts of genetics

The objective was to mention which diseases are AR and it was covered correctly

Most of it was good and understandable but towards the end, it became quite confusing to follow along.

i understand it though, you just need to concentrate on what the prof is saying and correlate well with the diagram then youll understand

Wonderful examples of the Hardy Weinberg principle. The exercise is explained step by step and is understandable in the first explanation.

This particular class video is not very helpful at all. I feel like genomic imprinting can be explained more efficiently and more clearly than what is portrayed in the video.

i knew next to nothing about molecular genetics, however after 6 weeks using lecturio ive gone from 20% in the practice tests at university to 70-80% each topic is subcategorised, easy to follow, and Dr. cornwall not only illustrates brilliantly but also delivers the otherwise difficult to understand material in a clear and concise manner,

lectures are very exciting and informative provided someone have basic knowledge of genetics. With reference to USMLE, I am afraid to say that is it is helping.

i don't know but sometimes its very difficult for me to follow lecturer and i get confused with interchangeable terminologies but great job overall.

These lectures (all of medical genetics) was really useful in connecting your knowledge. It is great how general theory is connected to the most important genetic diseases - very useful

The course didn't deliver the main message I was searching for. I hoped to find a more concise and direct material for each topic. The Genetic Course did not help at all for what I was searching. I was hoping for high-yield topics and a more direct delivery of the material. We have too little time.
