00:01 In this lecture, we're going to talk about the Proximal-predominant Muscular Dystrophies.

00:06 This is a really important group of muscular dystrophies and perhaps the most important of all the muscular dystrophies to understand.

00:14 And there's three major types of proximal-predominant muscular dystrophies that we're going to learn about.

00:19 We'll learn about Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

    00:21 Very important.

00:22 Maybe the most important muscular dystrophy to remember and know about.

00:27 The second is Becker's Muscular Dystrophy Milder than Duchenne's but follows many of the same rules.

00:34 And then the third is Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, which is quite different.

00:37 And we'll draw some stark contrast between Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, and Duchenne's, and Becker's.
