00:01 Welcome to pharmacology by Lecturio. I am Dr. PJ Shukle. Today we are going to be talking about adrenal pharmocology. 00:10 Let's take a look at the adrenal gland. I have represented it stylistically with a triangle. 00:15 There are four major regions of the adrenal gland. 00:19 There is the zona glomerulosa which is responsible for mineralocorticoid function. 00:25 There is the zona fasciculata which is responsible for glucocorticoid function. 00:30 There is the zona reticularis which is responsible for adrenal androgen production. 00:36 And finally, there is the adrenal medulla which is responsible for catecholamines.
