00:01 Now we're going to talk about the nutritional assessment. 00:05 And this may not have been obvious to you that that's what you would be doing on a sports physical. 00:12 But you're going to have to look, this one is harder to assess. 00:16 Of course, you're going to look at the client. 00:18 Look at their overall, kind of estimate a BMI range. 00:22 Where they are? Do they appear normal for age and size? Do they appear larger because you're gonna have their height and weight from your general review? And these are some typical questions that you could ask them. 00:34 What's a normal day of eating for you like? How much water do you drink a day? How much caffeine do you drink each day? How often do you drink energy drinks? Remember, it's really important to come across as completely non-judgmental on this. 00:48 If you want to get great information or accurate information from kids, you don't want to appear judgy to them. 00:54 Now this last one, have you ever had to lose or gain weight for a sport? How did you do this? Because remember, there's an increased risk of eating disorders, particularly with sports who have weight cut offs, like wrestling, and there does appear to be a higher risk or occurrence with female athletes. 01:11 So nutritional assessment really matters. 01:16 These are questions that you want to ask. 01:18 And you know, these are all going to tie back in when you think about, "Hey, if you're looking at caffeine and energy drinks, you're going to be very mindful of a student whose blood pressure's a little high or pulses a little high. 01:31 That's all about pulling all your thoughts together.
