00:01 Okay. Let’s get into attitudes, what shapes your attitude and why we have the certain attitudes that we have.

00:08 So let’s take a look at the components of attitude, what are we talking about when we say attitude? So attitude refers to a person’s feelings and beliefs about other people or events around them and the resulting behavioral reaction.

00:22 So we really care about what people think about us and we care about what other people are doing around us, so it’s going to change how we act.

00:31 So there are a lot of different things here that are going to impact your actual attitude and there’s three that I want to highlight that you should know.

00:37 So you can remember this by using the ABC.

00:40 So the first is affect or the feelings or emotions linked to a specific object.

00:45 The second is behavioral or past behaviors or experiences that you are currently doing or have done in the past and that’s going to impact your attitude.

00:54 And the last is your beliefs or thoughts about a particular thing that’s going to change your attitude.

01:02 So these three collectively, these three components, these three main components will really impact your overall attitude.
