00:01
Welcome back to the third lecture in the basic
vascular medicine series.
00:08
In this one, we’re going to talk about making
the diagnosis of problems in the vascular
system. And we’ll start with basic diagnostic
techniques.
00:21
So the learning objectives. The first one:
what kind of diagnostic techniques are there?
What is the range of diagnostic techniques?
Here you can see a little diagram showing
you the various types of diagnostic techniques.
00:37
There are basic diagnostic techniques such
as the history – that is what the patient
tells you – and the physical exam. And then,
there are more sophisticated diagnostic techniques
that are usually instrument-based and consist
of a number of tests: blood tests or other
forms of tests. And we’ll be talking about
each of those later in this lecture.
The lecture Types of Diagnostic Techniques – Basic Diagnostic Techniques by Joseph Alpert, MD is from the course Introduction to the Vascular System.
