00:00 Hello and welcome to our nursing school survival course.

00:04 The goal of this course is to give you an idea of what nursing and nursing school could look like, if this is a career that you would like to explore, while also helping you avoid the many mistakes and mishaps that I made during my own adventure through nursing school. And very fortunately for you, I made many of them.

00:20 So you have a lot to learn.

00:22 I'm sure if you've done any looking into nursing, you'll know how incredibly complicated nursing likes to make things.

00:28 So if you're just beginning in the nursing school process, and you're confused and overwhelmed with all the words and what they mean, it's not just you, I promise.

00:36 Heck, if you are a few years into this journey, and you're still like, "What is happening?" Also, not alone there, friend.

00:43 I have been doing this for over ten years, and sometimes I'm still like, "What? What is that? What do those letters mean?" It's a mess.

00:50 But I've learned a few things along the way, and I've slapped my best advice for nursing students together here.

01:11 So what is this course actually about? It's everything I wish I would have known about nursing school, the NCLEX, grad school, early nursing, all that stuff.

01:19 I've organized it into sections related to topics that should allow you to hop to the topics that are the most relevant to you right now.

01:37 What do nurses actually do? Where can they work? What does the schedule look like? Is this a family friendly job? All the basics things that you should know before deciding if this is a career that you would actually like to investigate more.
