00:00 Now I want you know some weird things that can impact the results of a 24 hour urine.

00:06 It does matter what substance is being measured but acute stress put some weird things in your bloodstream and in your urine, so if the patient is under acute stress, the physician and the healthcare team will keep that in mind.

00:21 If the patient has had vigorous exercise, now, we put a soccer ball up there, which is a lot of exercise but we're talking about significantly vigorous exercise this is someone who may have run an extreme distance, done a marathon, but it's not just a regular workout.

    00:39 That's healthy.

00:40 We're talking about someone who's done something in the extreme that could impact their 24-hour urine.

00:45 There's also some foods that can impact it things like coffee, tea, cocoa, bananas.

00:51 You've got citrus fruits or vanilla even can cause a problem with a 24 hour urine.

00:56 So you'll get a very good patient history when you have this collection going on.
