00:00 Okay, so let's wrap up this video series. A tracheostomy collar is a high-flow device. Now the patient has to have a trach but this will provide oxygen or humidified room air to a trach. 00:13 Venturi masks are helpful for patients with COPD who can especially benefit from extremely precise O₂ measurement as compared to something like a nasal cannula. NIPPV supports breathing by delivering positive pressure from a machine without requiring intubation or surgical airway. Now CPAP is delivered with a tight-fitting mask, it attaches to a ventilator or a CPAP machine that provides continuous positive pressure similar to PEEP, positive end expiratory pressure. BiPAP is also delivered with a tight-fitting mask, it's attached to a BiPAP machine which is fancier than a CPAP and that provides higher inspiratory pressure and a lower expiratory pressure. Thank you for watching our video today.

Why are Venturi masks especially helpful for clients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)?
