    00:01 So. let's wrap up health and illness.

    00:03 Health is defined as the wellness of a patient's physical, mental, and their social self.

    00:09 Now, looking at illness, if you remember, we divide it into two categories, acute or chronic disease, afflicting any part of the patient's self.

    00:19 Next, we need to make sure as providers, that we understand there's internal, inside influences, and those external influences, on a patient's health, it's important in providing patient-centered care.

    00:33 And lastly, nurses should assess the patient's health risk, in order to promote wellness and decrease any health vulnerabilities the patient may have.
