    00:03 Anti GBM is a rare, but treatable autoimmune disease it can cause pulmonary hemorrhage and renal failure from glomerulonephritis.

    00:12 An anti GBM antibodies bind to the capillary basement membrane in the kidneys and the lungs.

    00:18 That's why both the lungs and the kidneys are affected.

    00:22 The cause is thought to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

    00:26 The treatment is to remove the antibodies and immunoglobulins and prevent further production of the antibodies by suppressing the immune system.
