00:43 We all have a lot to study, but we also, you know, want to enjoy maybe a little bit of summer as we're getting into that season.

00:50 Um, so we're just going to kind of keep this nice and succinct.

02:25 Um, to talk about some of the key features of Lecturio to make nursing school a little bit less stressful. So let's go ahead and get started.

02:35 Today's event is highlighting three features of our platform, namely Lecturio predefined learning Paths, Lecturio Study Planner, and Lecturio Adaptive Review.

02:45 So if you've used Lecturio before, you might have already experienced one or several of these features.

02:52 Um, but you know, we want to kind of clarify how you can maybe use them best or use them better. Um, and some of.

03:00 Yeah, some of the elements you might not already know about.

03:03 Um, so we can. Yeah. So that you can then further enhance your studying.

03:07 So what are these features and how can they help you to learn more and stress less in nursing school? Let's go ahead and dive in.

03:15 I'm going to start with another quick poll question.

03:18 Um, who has used a Lecturio learning path? Uh, go ahead and answer that in.

03:24 Yeah, in the question that's popping up.

03:26 Again, if you're watching this after the fact, there is no question popping up. Um, however, think about it.

03:31 Have you used it before? Have you not? Um. All right. Awesome.

03:36 Uh, so what are Lecturio learning paths? Lecturio learning paths are collections of content tailored for you by our nursing educators and experts in order to help you prepare for your exams.

03:47 So these are predefined study plans.

03:49 And, um, you know, they range in topic from fundamentals to med surge.

03:54 Um, as you'll see in just a second when I show this on the platform, we currently have five learning paths live, but more are definitely in the works.

04:02 Um, so this is a resource that, you know, you can come back to, you know, even in a few months.

04:06 Um, or once you're reviewing for, um, you know, your next exam included in each topic.

04:13 Topic based learning path are blocks of content.

04:16 Um, so this includes video lessons, quiz questions, and real exam practice questions to ensure that you can review all of the most important aspects of the selected topic.

04:26 So these blocks are here to help you better schedule your studying sessions.

04:30 Um, to help you keep a more accurate overview of your progress.

04:34 Um, and just to make sure that you're getting all the content you need, um, you know, when you're studying for this particular exam.

04:42 So how do you access the learning paths? Let me show you. When you log on to Lecturio.

04:47 Um, they're very easy to access. Just here on the left side menu.

04:50 If you are on your phone on the mobile app, um, I believe you click the three dots on the right side of the bottom menu.

04:57 Um, for additional options.

04:58 And there you can select learning paths.

05:01 So I'll just show you the desktop version.

05:04 Um, but the functionality is very similar on mobile as well.

05:09 So once the page opens you'll see a variety of options.

05:12 Um, so you can click on any of these learning paths to get started.

05:15 Um, I will go ahead and take Medsurg as an example, because I know that's a topic we we all are interested in here in nursing school.

05:23 So on the right here you can see your progress.

05:26 Um, this will update automatically as you work your way through the learning path.

05:30 You will also be able to view your qbank performance.

05:33 Um, so these are those real exam practice questions.

05:36 Once you've answered some of them, um, when you scroll down a little bit, you'll see some of the different content blocks that I mentioned earlier.

05:45 So looking here at content block one, you can see that there is a preview of what is to come in the block.

05:51 So there are 40 qbank um, or real exam practice questions, 19 videos and 43 quiz questions.

05:59 So I know this sounds like a lot, but remember, all of Lecturio videos are concise and to the point to give you the key information needed.

06:07 Most videos on our platform are less than ten minutes long.

06:11 So if you take a look at block two, you'll see there are 24 qbank questions, 14 videos, and 30 quiz questions.

06:17 On these quiz questions are always those questions that pop up at the end of the video to just check your understanding. Make sure you know you are following what was being said. And that's a really great way to immediately know.

06:29 Okay, did I understand this concept? Did this make sense to me? Um, these are then also the quiz questions are also what go into your spaced repetition algorithm. Um, and so this, you know, feeds back those questions to you at different intervals based on your confidence level and accuracy of answer.

06:46 Um, so that's a great way to just continually review as well.

06:49 Um, so there's an extra tidbit for you, but let's let's keep talking about the learning paths. So each block is designed to be completed and reviewed in about one day of dedicated study. Depending on how far out your exam is.

07:02 Um. However, you can of course combine or break up the blocks however you want.

07:07 We have prepared the learning paths for you.

07:09 Um, but you know, they're here so that you can still personalize them to suit your needs and your schedule. Um, I know everyone.

07:17 Everyone's life is different.

07:18 Um, you have different responsibilities, um, different priorities. And so we want to make sure that you are able to study on your own time. Um, but give you everything you need to be able to get the well-rounded knowledge from these various topics.

07:33 So here, if you scroll down, you can see that the Med Surge learning path has 37 blocks. So this is obviously a pretty long learning path.

07:40 Um, you might, you know, be taking a lot more time on it.

07:43 And these are probably actually going to each buckle probably take more than one day.

07:49 Um, unless all you do is study.

07:51 Um, but yeah. So let's just go ahead and jump into block one.

07:56 So now you can see the topics of the first block are further broken down into two categories, which each include video lessons and those quiz or spaced repetition questions, and then the two categories with the qbank or real exam practice questions.

08:12 Once you start the learning path, it will automatically be added to your study planner, so you can either pick a due date or just skip this step.

08:19 I will add this to my study planner.

08:21 Um, and since it is a longer learning path, I'm just going to go ahead and set the due date for way further in the future.

08:28 Um, so let's just say about October 31st.

08:32 So as you just saw, um, Lecturio learning paths are predetermined study plans, um, from where we left off there, you can just go ahead and click on in, get started, watch your videos, answer your quiz questions, answer those real practice exam questions.

08:47 Um, and yeah, it'll you'll see your progress and you'll see some of your knowledge gaps as well. Um, but I'll get to that in just a second.

08:57 The next thing we want to talk about, um, is the Lecturio study planner.

09:01 Um, so one more question popping up in the chat or in the poll for you.

09:06 Uh, let us know. Have you used our study planner before? It doesn't have to be in conjunction with the learning path. It could be separate. It could be. You know, you took a look at it, but maybe you didn't follow through.

09:19 Um, so give give us just a yes or a no.

09:27 All right. Um, so for those of you who have.

09:32 Awesome. For those of you who haven't, um, let me show you how to do this, because adding a video or playlist of videos to your study planner is so easy.

09:41 It takes almost no time.

09:43 You can do it as you're just going through looking for the content that you want to study. Um, and we just plan, you know, plan your studies for you based on the, you know, amount of hours and days that you tell us you have available.

09:59 Um, so let me show you how this works.

10:03 Let's go ahead and enter the video library.

10:05 Um, so you'll see that there was, um, the study planner as an option on the left. We'll look at that in a second. But let's first go so we can add something to our study planner. So entering the video library um, here you can actually select your curriculum. Now, uh, we very recently added the LPN curriculum in case you have been in the platform before, but maybe hadn't seen this option.

10:25 Um, it should be there for you now, but for us, let's just stick to RN today.

10:31 Um, and say I need to review for a med surg exam coming up.

10:35 Um, this is clearly what's on my mind today.

10:38 Um, so I just click on medical surgical nursing, nursing and pathophysiology.

10:43 Um, then let's go ahead and click on electrocardiogram ECG and analysis of abnormal ECG strips. So from here I can either add this entire playlist to my study planner by clicking Add to Study Planner on the left, or I can click on the specific video or videos I want to review and go through these different topics, um, to add the individual videos.

11:07 So um, we'll go ahead and click on this one.

11:10 Once the video player opens, I can then click add to Study Planner or Add to Planner directly under the video, and then choose the date by which I'd like to finish viewing this video.

11:19 Um, so if we're saying my hypothetical med surg exam is next week, let's say I want to make sure to have reviewed this by Monday.

11:27 Um, so I will set my due date and click save.

11:30 Um, so note that you don't have to set a due date.

11:33 You can still add things to your study planner maybe as you're going through finding content. Don't know when you know which order you want to do things in yet.

11:42 Um, again, you don't have to set a date, but it is recommended.

11:45 Um, so I went ahead and did that because, um, then I can show you some of this, uh, next part.

11:53 So now let's finally go see what this looks like in the study planner itself.

11:57 So in the main menu select Study Planner on the left on mobile I believe the study planner is actually fixed on the bottom menu.

12:05 You guys can check that for us.

12:08 When you open the study planner you'll see a few things.

12:10 Your estimated workload, a list of the videos, playlists, and even learning paths that you've added to your study planner and your balanced study coach. So I'll explain what this is in just a moment.

12:22 Your estimated workload here displays two potential workloads due date by due and balanced. Um, so the due date by due just lists everything.

12:33 If you were to do it on the day it's due.

12:36 Um, your balanced workload, uh, shows you how you could divide out your time in order to, you know, have a more even study plan throughout the days you have specified here.

12:47 So following this balanced workload will spread the content out.

12:51 Um, based on your due dates and how much other content is assigned in your study planner. So this is why it's helpful to actually put in a due date.

13:02 Um, even if maybe you don't quite know the due date yet or it's not officially due.

13:07 Um, but this will help you or help the algorithm to, um, create this balanced study schedule for you.

13:16 So you can see here, um, I have this graph, obviously, since I added the, um, med surge learning path and put a due date way in the future. Um, we don't get as close of a look into this.

13:30 Um, so what you can actually do is review this graph for either the next 70 days, the next 30 days, or until the furthest due date in the future.

13:38 So for now, let's just take a look at the next seven days of my study plan.

13:43 So as you can probably see, the graph just changed to reflect the topics I've specified are due within the next week, or that I want to have watched the videos on, answer the questions on, etc.

13:55 so it looks like I have about six hours worth of content to review per day based on my current plan. So remember, this includes the Med Surge study plan, which itself includes a lot of content.

14:06 Um, and I haven't broken that out to, you know, specify my schedule and, you know, my preferences.

14:14 Um, so this is just basic example.

14:16 You can get a little deeper in it too.

14:18 So on the right hand side here, my balanced study coach makes a recommendation as to what I should review in today's study session in order to stay on track. So from the study planner, I can directly click into the videos or learning paths that I've added and start learning right away.

14:34 Um, I won't do that right now.

14:36 Uh, but you can also see here in the list, I can also see the status of each topic.

14:41 And clearly I have some work to do as this video is overdue.

14:45 Um, it'll also send you reminders about that.

14:49 All right. So the resources we've talked about so far are focused more on learning and reviewing specific content.

14:57 But what about when it comes to taking end, of course, exams? Um, or, you know, even preparing for the NCLEX? Uh, for this, you'll definitely want to review some real exam practice questions.

15:09 Um, and we'll probably need to review for multiple subjects at the same time.

15:13 Um, therefore, the last topic we will cover today is the Qbank or specifically Lecturio adaptive review feature within the Qbank.

15:22 Um, so as you use Lecturio, we're constantly gathering data on which topics might contain knowledge gaps for you so that you can better review and ace those exams. So, um, this is based on your incorrect answers in the qbank.

15:36 So these exam practice questions, um, will gather then customize playlists of videos that will help you to review the concepts related to those questions that you've missed. Um, so this is a great way, you know, to make sure you really are understanding everything.

15:53 Um, because sometimes when we're studying, um, the more we review something, the more confident we might feel about knowing the answer, but in reality, we might not actually quite understand that.

16:04 Um, and this is, you know, something that our system can kind of track because you're using Lecturio throughout nursing school.

16:11 And over time this will also then, you know, update when your knowledge gaps might become areas of strength.

16:19 So let me show you how this works.

16:22 When you enter the Qbank, you can either immediately start a test or view your performance and adaptive review.

16:28 So let's go ahead and click to expand this section.

16:31 Um, and we'll get a breakdown of subjects and systems covered by the qbank questions you've previously answered. Um, and your accuracy here is represented as a percentage. Clearly, I am not a very good student, but this is also just a demo account, so don't worry.

16:45 I'm sure yours looks much better.

16:47 Um, use the checkboxes here Then to select what you want to include in your first adaptive review playlist.

16:54 Since we're going with the theme of Med Surge today, I'll just select that here as an example.

17:00 So you will immediately be redirected to the first video in your custom playlist.

17:05 And off you go. On the right hand side you can see which other videos are included here.

17:10 You can complete the Spaced Repetition quiz questions or recall questions for each video.

17:15 And at the top, you can also even add this or other videos to your study planner.

17:21 So if we go back then to the Qbank and adaptive review, something else you will see here is peer comparison.

17:28 So this isn't directly saying hey, you know you're.

17:38 It's not that this just shows your performance on the questions you've answered so far. In comparison with the average accuracy of other Lecturio users worldwide.

17:47 Um, so this information might not be super useful to you, but maybe it'll be the little spark of inspiration to keep studying.

17:54 So you're getting a few more right answers as you continue.

17:59 All right, so I know I said that adaptive review was the last topic I would cover in this shorter event, but there is one more I will quickly touch on.

18:08 And this one is absolutely essential.

18:11 Lecturio nursing Cheat sheets.

18:13 These 1 to 2 page text based resources are the ultimate go to for a quick refresher.

18:20 Um, so sometimes you don't have, you know, the time to watch a video to remember something, um, or to quick review something.

18:29 Or maybe you don't have your headphones with you and you're at the hospital. Um, this is where you can turn.

18:35 So the easiest way to access the cheat sheets is actually to just search for them.

18:40 Um, so let's go ahead and type cheat sheets in our search bar.

18:43 And this pop up comes up and directs you to all of our cheat sheets.

18:47 Um, I will also pop a link in the chat right now.

18:50 Um, or it'll pop up on the side.

18:52 Um, so that you can also click in and see what we're looking at as I'm going now.

18:57 So when you scroll down, um, you can see we have cheat sheets for a variety of very important topics.

19:12 For example, here, um, with IV insertion, um, and at the bottom you'll see a QR code, which you can then scan with your phone and then go watch the associated video.

19:34 So I know this has been a lot of information in a relatively short amount of time.

19:39 However, I really do hope that better understanding how to use some of these key Lecturio features will help you to be able to learn more and stress less in nursing school.
