00:00 So let's wrap up this part of the video series. The urine C&S is one of the critical tools in identifying a UTI and working as a team to ensure the treatment plan is effective. Results from the culture and sensitivity can take 1 to 3 days to be received from the lab. Empiric antibiotic therapy may be started initially until C&S results are received. Reviewing the results of the C&S are within the practice of the physician, RN, and the PharmD. The culture report will identify the organism or organisms present in the urine. The sensitivity chart will identify which medications will attack the identified organisms. Thank you for watching this video with us.
