00:01 Hi! Welcome to our video series on the gallbladder. 00:04 And this one we're going to take a look at cholecystitis or a gallbladder attack. 00:08 We're going to dig down deep into the lab work and diagnostic tests that you need to know to provide care for these patients. 00:16 Now, don't be scared off. 00:18 I'm going to walk you through step-by-step. 00:20 So you understand all the lab work and the possible diagnostic test. 00:25 So first there's blood test everything starts with lab work, right? You might also do an ultrasound of the gallbladder. 00:33 That's just like what you do when you're looking at a baby only this time we're looking at your gallbladder. 00:39 Next might have an abdominal CAT scan a gallbladder radionucleotide scan or an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. 00:50 Now, do you know why we call it an ERCP? Well, we'll talk more about that later, but it is a super cool test. 00:59 Trust me you're going you want your doctor to have played video games when they were younger because they're really good at doing ERCPs.
