00:00 So a typical day for an FNP in an outpatient setting is going to be regular business hours, usually right? So you're maybe getting there at eight, you're leaving at five.

00:08 You are usually showing up and you have 15 minutes to go through your inbox.

00:13 Check labs. Did anyone email me overnight.

00:15 Get a look at what your day is going to kind of look like.

    00:18 Answer any messages.

00:20 And then you dive right into appointment.

00:22 So you're seeing people every 15 to 30 minutes depending on the day.

00:26 Most schedules are like pretty packed like that.

00:28 You technically usually have a lunch at some point, but I don't know anyone who really gets to go and eat it.

00:34 You're kind of like catching up really crazy on your charting.

00:37 And then your afternoon is usually a lot of the same.

00:40 Some practices will give you built into your day, something called admin time, and they'll tack that on usually at the end of the day, where you can go through again, like your inbox, get all your paperwork done, just kind of like tie up loose ends, but it's a lot of just like boom, boom, boom appointments after appointments.

00:57 But many times the schedule is also nice because it's no weekend's, no holidays.

01:01 You might have call that will depend on your practice.

01:03 But overall, it's a very different pace than an inpatient nursing job.
