00:01 So I get the question a lot of can FNPs practice in an acute care setting and this is going to be very specific to where in the country you actually live.

00:10 Family Nurse Practitioners by design, when you're doing all your training, all of your training is really outpatient, right? And so you aren't trained in an acute care area.

00:20 You can't do your clinical in the ICU in an FNP program.

00:23 Some hospitals, though, do allow family nurse practitioners to come in and work on their general floors.

00:30 Some of them allow them to come in and work in the ER, it really just depends on where you live.

00:36 So if you want to work in one of those settings, again, this will be a good situation where you pick where you want to work, and reverse engineer and go get that degree that's going to get you in the door there and just make sure that that's going to be appropriate for your specific city because it's going to vary depending on where you live in the country.
