00:00 So there are several different certification pathways to become a family nurse practitioner.

00:05 And there are pros and cons to each one.

00:08 Each certifying body. So there's the AANP and the ANCC.

00:12 They have different tests at their baseline.

00:16 So I would just look and see, you know, when I took it, one of them gave you value ranges of other labs and the other one didn't.

00:22 And one of them gave you a test questions that were only clinical based.

00:26 And the other one would ask you questions about insurance.

00:28 So you can look up on their websites.

00:30 There's comparison charts all over the internet, of what their differences are now, but also keep in the back of your mind, what you might want to do with your career in a few years, because they have different renewal requirements.

00:42 Some of them require you to actively be practicing, whereas the other one allows you to be in education or something else and still be able to recertify.

00:52 So kind of look both at now what you want to do, but also think like, do I maybe want to step away from the clinical setting and do I still want to recertify? That's something you're gonna want to consider.

01:02 But honestly, at the end of the day for being very honest, I also just chose because all my friends picked before me and I said then that is what I too shall do.
