    00:00 Alright, let’s get into social behavior.

    00:02 So one aspect of social behavior is Attraction.

    00:07 How do we interact with some of those people around us? What do we attract to? Interpersonal attraction is related to how much we like, dislike, or hate an individual.

    00:17 Characteristics that influence attraction between other people include: Proximity. So most powerful predictor of friendship, familiarity breeds fondness.

    00:27 We know that the closer you are to somebody friends, family the closer you become.

    00:35 I’m sure you have experiences where you’ve been stuck in the car or a road trip with some people for a week.

    00:41 Even a day and being in that close confine quarters you kind of create this bond of friendship.

    00:47 So a proximity can actually have a huge role.

    00:50 I don’t think we always want to acknowledge this, but physical attractiveness does play a role.

    00:59 Some attributes are culturally similar and make individuals more likable.

    01:04 Physically, how we look even sort of how we present ourselves is very important in terms of attraction.

    01:11 So take a shower, comb your hair.

    01:13 Now, in terms of similarity we know that if there is some commonality between the values beliefs, interest attitudes pretty much almost anything.

    01:21 You find some commonality some similarity that is going to really spark some interest and can lead to that attraction.
